Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular (CVL) Technologist with at least 1 year of adult Cath Lab experience and required CVL certifications for a 13-week travel assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in an invasive cardiovascular lab performing adult diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording during cardiac cath, device, electrophysiology, and/or structural heart procedures
- Floating may be required to departments or locations within 20 miles
- 4x10 hour day shifts each week
- No local candidates; must reside more than 50 miles from facility
- Tasks include maintaining accurate documentation, medication and charge accuracy, and ensuring procedural case reporting
- Role involves equipment maintenance, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness of the lab
- Must be prepared to respond and provide emergent care
- Adherence to local, state, and federal regulations is required
- Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia testing must be passed during orientation; a retake is allowed, and failure results in contract termination
- Former staff must wait one year before being eligible for travel positions
- Scrub attire is required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year recent adult Cath Lab experience
- Successful completion of at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
- Associate’s degree in Invasive Cardiovascular, Cardiopulmonary Technologist, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Paramedic, or Surgical Technology, or 4 years directly related work experience in lieu of degree
- Current RCIS or RCES certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Must provide all required certifications for consideration
