Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT)(R) credentials and at least 1 year of CT and general radiology experience for an evening shift role.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting within the CT/Xray Tech department
• Department includes 1 CT scanner and 1 Xray scanner
• Performs hospital ER and outpatient CT scans, as well as ER X-rays
• IV starts are required as part of imaging procedures
• Uses Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic) and Spectra PACS system
• Siemens equipment is utilized within the department
• Work scheduled for 8-hour evening shifts, Monday through Friday from 1pm to 9pm
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as per department needs
• PM and night shifts work independently, while day shifts have general radiology support
• Must provide excellent patient care and demonstrate strong independent decision-making skills
• All studies are read remotely with no in-house radiologist present
• No requirement to cover surgery
• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable, and attire must be clean and professional
• Department-specific orientation varies based on skills
• Former employees must have a minimum 6-month gap before returning and require hospital approval
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and will receive a reduced rate

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent CT and general radiology technologist experience
• Current ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Must hold or obtain a Wisconsin radiologic license by the assignment start date (license required if applicable)
• Proficient in CT and general radiology procedures, with ability to work independently
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor
