Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position in the Adult Emergency Department requiring a compact or OK RN license and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Adult Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hour shifts per week, with weekend requirements
  • Care for a variety of adult patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
  • May be responsible for ED patient holds
  • Required to live more than 50 miles from the facility location
  • Responsible for administering medications, monitoring physiological data, assisting in procedures, and providing patient and family education
  • Tasks include IV and blood product administration, documenting patient responses, and delegating to support staff
  • Will interact with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
  • Compliance with scrub or dress code required as per hospital policy

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Oklahoma or a compact state
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Minimum of one year of emergency department nursing experience
  • Good communication skills and ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
