Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Adult Emergency Department position, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Adult Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Primary assignment includes ED holds
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week, with weekend requirements
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a range of health conditions from simple to complex
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, administer medications, and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Communicate care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families
• Delegation of tasks to support staff as appropriate
• No local candidates accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Holiday coverage may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state (eNLC) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year of RN experience required
• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
