Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Massachusetts requiring Neuro IR and stroke expertise.
Responsibilities
- Position based in a hospital Interventional Radiology department
- Department features 5 procedure rooms handling CT and ultrasound-guided procedures
- Daily caseload typically includes 12-16 cases with an average patient ratio of 1:1 and up to 6-7 patients per day
- Work schedule consists of day shifts with a combination of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts and no set day off
- On-call required during nights, weekends, and one major holiday per schedule period, with a 30-minute call back time
- On-call rooms are available if required
- Main responsibilities include supporting Neuro IR and stroke procedures and interpreting telemetry
- Team handles high-acuity procedures in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma environment
- Requires two recent professional references, one from a manager level, with one within the last 12 months
- Orientation and skills testing are part of onboarding
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Parking information and monthly rates are available upon request
- On-call and holiday coverage is expected as part of the rotating schedule
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS and any other required certifications must be active
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience required
- Must have Neuro IR and stroke nursing experience
- Proficiency in independently reading and interpreting telemetry strips
- Ability to pass a telemetry test with a score of 85% or higher on day one
- Level I Trauma hospital experience required
- Completion of Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B is required
