Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist with at least 4 years of experience and advanced ARDMS credentials for variable 10-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based general ultrasound unit
- Variable start times ranging from 07:00 to 11:30 with 10-hour shifts, any day of the week
- Scheduled shifts include 07:00–18:30 and 11:30–22:00, alternating four 10-hour shifts
- Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital within the health system
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Candidates must be prepared to float between facilities if needed
- Strict RTO policies apply; all requests must be finalized before review and cannot be changed after submission
- Candidates must have been away for at least 6 months to be eligible for return as a traveler
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No radius restrictions; local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Active Sonography license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI), permanent or temporary
- Registered with ARDMS in both Abdomen and OB/GYN
- Current BLS certification from the AHA
- Proficiency with state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, computer systems, and film processors
- Bachelor’s degree in Sonography preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and compassionate patient care
- License required if applicable
