Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist with at least 4 years of experience and advanced ARDMS credentials for variable 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based general ultrasound unit
• Variable start times ranging from 07:00 to 11:30 with 10-hour shifts, any day of the week
• Scheduled shifts include 07:00–18:30 and 11:30–22:00, alternating four 10-hour shifts
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital within the health system
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Candidates must be prepared to float between facilities if needed
• Strict RTO policies apply; all requests must be finalized before review and cannot be changed after submission
• Candidates must have been away for at least 6 months to be eligible for return as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No radius restrictions; local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Active Sonography license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI), permanent or temporary
• Registered with ARDMS in both Abdomen and OB/GYN
• Current BLS certification from the AHA
• Proficiency with state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, computer systems, and film processors
• Bachelor’s degree in Sonography preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and compassionate patient care
• License required if applicable
