Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute GI Medicine Unit position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 34-bed Acute GI Medical/Surgical Unit with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Unit features private rooms with telemetry capability
• Day shifts, 12 hours each, with a typical schedule of three shifts per week (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating is not specified
• Must be willing to work at least one major holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve) during the contract
• Unit cares for GI and COVID medical/surgical patients
• First-time travelers are not specified as accepted
• Requests for time off must be submitted upfront and cannot be made after an offer
• Scrub or dress code requirements are not specified

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within the medical/surgical specialty
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Perm staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break between assignments
