Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced with trauma, biopsy drainage, and angiogram procedures, requiring current ARRT and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Large hospital setting with 492 beds and a Level II Trauma Center
• Covers adult inpatient and outpatient cases, with some pediatric outpatient or ED cases
• Average caseload of 4 patients per hour, with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Performs trauma, biopsy drainage, angiogram, and stroke perfusion scans
• Utilizes GE CT equipment and Cerner EMR
• Day shifts available, typically 8 hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
• Potential to float throughout the main Radiology department and different areas as needed
• Weekend rotation typically once per month, subject to departmental needs
• Holiday coverage required per hospital policy, with expectation of one major and one minor holiday
• Voluntary on-call options available
• Duties include performing advanced CT procedures such as biopsies, angiograms, trauma and stroke perfusion imaging
• Work under Level II Trauma Center protocols and support acute patient care
• Free parking available onsite
• Scrub color is flexible; any color allowed
• All candidates must complete a hospital orientation and 2-3 shifts on unit with a preceptor
• Returning employees must wait 6 months before being eligible as a traveler
• COVID-19 vaccine is not required for consideration

Requirements

• Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
• ARRT-CT certification required
• State license preferred; License required if applicable
• At least 1 year of CT experience required, 2 years preferred for first-time travelers
• Strong skills in CT biopsy drainage, trauma scans, angiograms required
• Experience with stroke perfusion scans is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with GE CT equipment and Cerner EMR preferred
• Must not reside within 60 miles of the facility
