Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with recent circulator and telemetry experience for a night shift position in Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Hospital setting in a Labor & Delivery department
- Shift is 12-hour nights, with every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Unit includes 9 labor rooms, 2 operating and recovery rooms, and 5 triage rooms
- Approximately 3,000 deliveries per year
- High-risk obstetrics experience is preferred
- Uses Epic EMR and requires prior experience
- Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry strips, and pass a telemetry test on Day 1 with at least 85%
- Responsible for managing labor, delivery, and immediate care of mother and newborn
- May be required to assist in both labor and OR settings
- Monthly parking fees apply
- Holiday coverage expectations per departmental rotation
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS and NRP, with all NRP lessons completed and not expiring during assignment
- Evidence of completed Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course, preferably AWHONN
- Minimum 2 recent years of Labor & Delivery RN experience, including OR circulator duties
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma hospital is required
- Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B, with up to two attempts allowed
- Two professional references required, one must be a manager and include a performance evaluation; one must be within 12 months and the other within 3 years; no references from other travelers
