Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with strong cardiac stepdown background for a float pool position in a hospital stepdown unit, requiring an Ohio or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital stepdown setting as part of the HVTI-Stepdown Float Pool
• Care for adult cardiac stepdown patients
• Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am), with the possibility of variable shifts based on operational needs
• Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
• Floats between stepdown units as needed
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Assignment may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location, with a 6-month waiting period before returning
• All hours worked must be submitted using the Qualivis Lotus system
• Two professional references required for consideration

Requirements

• Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in cardiac stepdown required (travel experience accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores during orientation
• Progressive care/PCU experience preferred but not required
