Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Observation Unit position requiring inpatient experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital-based ER Observation Unit
  • Inpatient setting caring for a range of patient conditions from simple to complex
  • Three 12-hour night shifts per week
  • No floating to the ER; ER experience is not applicable
  • Patient assignment and care coordination responsibilities
  • Provide observation-level care, administer medications, monitor physiological data, and document patient responses
  • Collaborate with physicians and other staff, assist with minor procedures, and coordinate discharge planning
  • Ability to delegate tasks to support staff
  • Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as per unit needs
  • Team-oriented environment with a focus on comprehensive patient care

Requirements

  • Active Oklahoma RN or multistate compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • At least one year of inpatient RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Some computer skills required
  • Applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
