Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including Level 1 trauma and Siemens CT equipment proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a teaching hospital CT department
- Evening shifts, Tuesday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM (4x10 hours)
- Patient population includes ICU, trauma, general anesthesia, sedation, and inpatient cases
- Duties involve advanced imaging protocols such as CT Cardiac, stroke perfusion, and trauma
- Use of Siemens CT scanners is required
- McKesson and Cerner are utilized, with Cerner experience preferred
- This is a Level 1 trauma environment
- Responsibilities include performing complex CT procedures, evaluating technical quality of images, and prioritizing studies for radiologists
- Duties involve patient care across a range of acuity levels and assisting with protocol development and optimization
- Participation in orientation and training of new technologists and student technologists is expected
- Assisting with education of resident and attending physicians may be part of the role
- Maintaining accurate patient records and use of PACS image archival system required
- Scrubs are required
- RTO must be declared at time of application
- Candidates living within a 75-mile radius are considered local and may be subject to a different rate
Requirements
- Current certification in BLS, ARRT, and CT
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT Technologist, with at least 1 year in CT
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Experience with Siemens CT equipment is required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- MO or Compact State license required in hand for consideration
- Must provide 2 recent references for consideration
- First-time travelers will not be considered
