Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and level 1 trauma background for a weekend-focused assignment.

Responsibilities

Work in a teaching hospital setting within the CT department
Schedule consists of Saturday and Sunday 12-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Monday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Patient population includes ICU, trauma, general anesthesia, sedation, and inpatients across varying acuity levels
Specialized procedures include CT cardiac, stroke perfusion, and trauma protocols
Required to use Siemens equipment, with experience in McKesson and Cerner preferred
Exposure to image archival system (PACS) is necessary
Will not accept first-time travelers for this position
Responsible for performing complex imaging protocols and evaluating technical quality of images
Will provide education and training to new technologists and student technologists as applicable
May assist radiologists and physicists in developing new imaging protocols and techniques
Expectations may include assisting with departmental duties per unit guidelines
Position has a 75-mile radius rule for local candidates; locals accepted at a reduced rate
Time off (RTO) requests must be submitted with application
Support new physician education as needed in the clinical environment

Requirements

Current BLS, ARRT, and CT certifications are required
Minimum of 2 years of CT experience, including at least 1 year in CT specialty
Level 1 trauma experience is required
Experience with Siemens CT equipment is required
Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
Must hold an active MO or Compact license at time of consideration
License required if applicable

I worked in Same Day Surgery. The PACU and OR staff were great to work with. The supervisor/manager was very easy to approach and talk with.
