Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with pediatric experience for a 12-hour day shift position with call and floating requirements; a FL or compact RN license is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room serving both adult and pediatric populations
• Surgical specialties include ENT, general, vascular, endovascular, robotics, dental, GYN, ortho, spine, and neurosurgery
• 12-hour day shifts with variable start times between 6:30 am and 10:30 am
• No block scheduling allowed
• On-call required, typically 4 calls per month with various call types including overnight and backup call
• Floating required, with travelers as first to float, potentially to other sister campuses within 15-20 minutes
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Role involves circulating and scrubbing duties for a wide variety of surgical procedures
• Expected to function as core staff and integrate with the unit culture
• Nurses complete a remote orientation and must be onsite for badge/ID pickup starting on a Friday
• Travelers may be asked to float to sister campuses depending on need
• All RTO and schedule requests must be communicated prior to consideration; no changes are allowed after acceptance
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of the contract

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years OR RN experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required
• Degree accreditation must be verifiable or candidate must have 5 years of RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Must provide verification that nursing school is accredited by ACEN, CNEA, CCNE, or FL Department of Health
• Must have driver's license address matching Board of Nursing records
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and not own or cosign any property within that radius
