Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a CO or compact license and at least 2 years of critical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 12-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in a hospital setting
- Unit focuses on cardiothoracic, thoracic, and vascular surgical patients with overflow from Surgical Critical Care and Medical ICU
- Night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00) with varying days
- Weekend shifts required per unit needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to other units required as needed
- Uses Epic for charting
- Must wear navy blue scrubs
- Up to 10 days of requested time off allowed, with some blackout dates
- Holiday and peak season time off is restricted within specified periods
- Local rate applies if residing within 75 miles of the facility
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Prior CVICU experience strongly preferred
- First time travelers are not accepted
