Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a mobile PET position requiring ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification and at least 1 year of recent experience.

Responsibilities

• Mobile PET role with travel to an additional facility one day per week
• Work is conducted in ambulatory and hospital settings performing nuclear medicine, PET, theranostic, planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT procedures
• Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, day shifts
• Candidates must be able to work independently and travel is part of the weekly routine
• Responsibilities include performing and assessing nuclear medicine and PET procedures, including quality assurance and quality control
• Must maintain radiation and patient safety standards and follow appropriate protocols for radiopharmaceuticals
• Will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and may assist in training new team members and students
• Applicants should have strong communication skills and experience with EMR, PACS, and general computer systems
• May be required to take call as needed
• Any color scrubs may be worn except denim or inappropriate prints
• Role involves caring for a broad age range from newborns to geriatrics

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification is required
• Active TX license required if applicable
• Flu shot required during flu season with no exemptions granted
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local travelers not accepted
