Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring a GA or compact license and strong OB clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Adult obstetric patient population, including high-risk and preterm pregnancies
• Unit includes 13 L&D rooms and 2 operating rooms, with approximately 200 deliveries per month
• Shift is night, 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 7:15
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may occur within the Women’s Service Line
• Epic and Pyxis systems are used for charting and medication administration
• Care for OB, preterm, and pregnancy-related cases in a fast-paced environment
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift in the same unit
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• A maximum of 7 days RTO is allowed, and no RTO during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is required per assignment length; must work one or more major holidays if they fall within the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with SBAR communication and Epic EMR preferred
• Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year to return as a traveler
• Two supervisory references (manager or higher) required for consideration
