Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry/PCU role with a minimum of 2 years' recent specialty experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in the Medical Intermediate Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
Care for med-surg and intermediate/step-down level patients
Night shift schedule from 6:45pm to 7:15am
Assignment may involve multiple units including med-surg and specialty cardiac/heart & lung units
No on-call duties are specified
Responsibilities include providing intermediate level care and telemetry monitoring to med-surg and cardiac patients
Collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team
All RNs must complete required modules and training before beginning assignment
No exceptions granted for vaccination status

Requirements

Active KY or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Telemetry or PCU
Current certifications through AHA: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required; certifications must not expire in the same month as assignment start
Must have actual NIHSS certification prior to start
Must be fully vaccinated for Flu and COVID-19
Completion of CPI training (may be completed onsite)
Candidates with any license infractions are not eligible
Must provide US Social Security Number; Canadian SSNs not accepted
Explanation required for any work history gaps of 3 months or more
Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
