Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Medical Intermediate PCU position requiring a KY or compact RN license and at least two years of recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a hospital Medical Intermediate Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Night shifts from 6:45pm to 7:15am
- Roles may involve working in multiple units including Medical-Surgical, Heart & Lung, and Ortho departments
- Care is provided for a diverse adult patient population in an inpatient setting
- Responsible for managing intermediate-level patient care and monitoring
- Must be prepared to work in different inpatient units based on operational needs
- Gaps of 3 months or more in work history require explanation
- Position does not consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius
- Modules or additional training may be required
- No exceptions to vaccination requirements
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license without any disciplinary actions
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Medical Intermediate or PCU specialty
- Current AHA BLS and other required AHA certifications that do not expire during the assignment
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training required, can be completed onsite
- Fully vaccinated for Flu and COVID-19 with documentation
