Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with a current CA license, a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience, and required certifications for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

Work in the Cath Lab of an acute care hospital
Patient population includes those with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias
Perform procedures such as coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventions and permanent pacemaker placements
Daily caseload averages 8–12 cases
Epic EMR is used and experience is required
Day shift schedule (4x10-hour shifts), 6:30–19:00, with weekend and on-call requirements
No floating required for this assignment
First time travelers are welcome to apply
Orientation consists of 30 hours
Call is required as part of the position
Block scheduling may be considered upon request
Most RTO must be approved at the time of application
Scrubs are provided in the Cath Lab
Free parking is available during assignment
Returning former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible as a traveler
Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state according to operational needs
Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

Active CA RN license required
Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, Fluoro Permit (RCIS only is not accepted)
Willing to consider candidates with pending Fluoro permits if already applied
Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last three years in a comparable specialty
Epic charting system experience required
