Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT (R) certification for pediatric imaging in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care pediatric radiology department
• Duties include OR imaging, fluoroscopy, diagnostic X-rays, ED patients, and mobile X-rays
• Department consists of 2 X-ray rooms, 1 fluoroscopy room, 5 portables, 2 C-arms, 2 mini-C-arms, and 1 O-arm
• Equipment includes Canon Ultimax fluoro unit, Dell X-ray rooms, GE C-arms, and mobile units
• Shifts are four 10-hour days, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday
• Weekend and holiday coverage is required
• No floating to other areas is required
• Uses Epic EMR and Fuji PACS systems
• Average caseload is approximately 85 studies per day
• Pediatric radiologist in-house during daytime hours Monday through Friday, and resident coverage available 24/7
• A lead technologist and radiology tech assistants are part of the team for support
• No IV starting is required for this position
• Department provides scrubs
• Department-specific orientation is provided
• No call or standby required
• No self-scheduling or block scheduling options
• No local travelers accepted per facility radius rule
• Former employees must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler; cumulative experience applies to the 1-year maximum within the system

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of radiology experience required
• Current ARRT (R) certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Pediatric experience is preferred
• License required if applicable
