Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU position in Colorado requiring neuro and trauma experience and a compact or CO RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in an adult ICU/CCU unit with 30 beds
• Patient ratios are typically 1 RN to 2 patients, with potential for higher ratios during overflow
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Unit uses Lenet beds and GE monitors
• Meditech is the EMR system in use
• Typical procedures include rapid intubation, chest tubes, and EVD placement
• Candidates with neuro certification are highly preferred
• A flexible attitude and willingness to change assignments mid-shift are important for success in this unit
• Team includes 57 staff with charge RNs present on each shift
• First-time travelers are accepted
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience and recent neuro and trauma experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications accepted by AHA or ARC and non-expiring within the first 30 days
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
