Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position working night shifts with current Idaho or compact RN license and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Work schedule consists of 3x12 hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Care is provided to infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Use of EPIC charting system is preferred
• Responsible for delivering patient care using established nursing processes and protocols
• Must respond effectively to life-threatening situations and rapidly prioritize care
• Should document thoroughly and maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
• Expected to participate in ongoing professional development and maintain clinical competencies
• Work may require flexibility for weekends and holidays
• No travel pairs or groups permitted for this assignment
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active ID or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Strong computer skills in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office
• Must reside a minimum of 100 miles from the facility; candidates within 100 miles are not eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from facility for at least 1 year before applying
