Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting with at least 1 year of experience and active OR PT license.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient physical therapy at a critical access facility
• Covers orthopedic, general medicine, neurological, and balance cases, including total joints and upper extremity injuries
• Typical patient load is 9 to 11 patients per day based on census and schedule
• Productivity standards are 0.45+ for outpatient and 0.6+ if split between inpatient and outpatient
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 8:00 to 18:00, Monday through Friday preferred
• No weekend, call, or floating to other facilities required
• May act as Admission Coordinator/Rehab PPS Coordinator if needed
• Epic EMR system is used
• Responsibilities include treating orthopedic, neurological, and general medical conditions as well as performing splinting as necessary
• Mostly Medicare and Managed Medicare patient population
• No floating to sister facilities, but may cover coordinator roles as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Level IV trauma center environment
• Free parking provided
• Scrub color varies by unit
• No restrictions on requested time off

Requirements

• Active OR PT license required, license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient PT experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must be eligible to work weekdays with flexibility for block schedules
