Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring Missouri or compact RN licensure and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a community hospital
• Monitor post-cath patients and telemetry cases with a patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:45 to 07:15
• Required to work 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities
• Uses Epic as charting system
• No on-call responsibilities
• Responsible for caring for patients with telemetry and post-catheterization needs
• Charge RN assignments and holiday coverage may be required as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Maximum of 7 days of time off can be requested
• Must adhere to navy scrub dress code
• Free parking available on site
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license in hand at the time of application
• Minimum two years of recent specialty experience in Med/Surg Tele, with at least one year within the past 12 months and no employment gaps greater than 90 days
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Telemetry experience required, including on-unit monitoring
• Experience with post-cath patients preferred
• Two professional references required from the past year, one from a supervisor level or higher and another from a charge RN
• Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility
• No pending licenses accepted
