Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 36-hour rotating day/night Labor & Delivery position requiring a MA license and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts based on unit needs
• Every other weekend and rotating holiday coverage required
• Patient population includes laboring mothers and neonates
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Responsibilities include managing laboring patients, assisting with deliveries, and providing maternal and neonatal care
• Must work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed prior to assignment
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from central Boston; locals receive a reduced rate
• Parking may require use of public lots with daily costs
• Scrubs required per unit policy

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted MA RN license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current NRP and AWHONN EFM certifications required (AHA preferred)
• Prior Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
