Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 36-hour rotating day/night Labor & Delivery position requiring a MA license and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts based on unit needs
Every other weekend and rotating holiday coverage required
Patient population includes laboring mothers and neonates
Uses Epic EMR system
Responsibilities include managing laboring patients, assisting with deliveries, and providing maternal and neonatal care
Must work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Assignment length is 13 weeks
RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed prior to assignment
Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from central Boston; locals receive a reduced rate
Parking may require use of public lots with daily costs
Scrubs required per unit policy

Requirements

Active, unrestricted MA RN license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
Current AHA BLS certification required
Current NRP and AWHONN EFM certifications required (AHA preferred)
Prior Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
Experience with Epic charting preferred
Proof of flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
