Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown Float Pool position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and cardiac stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based cardiac stepdown float pool
• Patient population includes progressive care and post-cardiac patients
• Rotating day and night shifts (3x12 hours: 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am); shifts may be variable per hospital needs
• Float between various stepdown units as needed
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Qualivis – Lotus is used for submitting hours worked
• Assignments at this location cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a minimum 6-month break required before return assignments
• Team members may rotate shifts to meet operational needs
• Holiday coverage is expected at least every other holiday
• Professional, team-oriented work environment with orientation and assessment testing

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license must be in hand
• Minimum 18 months of recent cardiac stepdown experience required (permanent or travel)
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation are required
