Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab / EP Technologist with prior EP and/or Cath Lab experience and current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy cardiac cath lab with 5 procedure areas
• Staffed by RNs and cardiovascular technologists only
• Procedures performed include cath/interventional radiology, diagnostic cath, complex PCI/CTO cases, and a variety of electrophysiology procedures including devices, LAAO cases, and complex ablations
• Uses GE and Philips lab equipment
• EMR documentation uses MacLab and Meditech systems
• Schedule consists of five 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-call for cath lab and late stay teams for EP
• Closed unit – no floating outside the cardiovascular department
• Duties include supporting a variety of advanced cardiac and electrophysiology procedures
• Robotic PCI practiced in the EP Stereotaxis Lab
• Scrubs are provided as required uniform
• Very busy cardiovascular program with advanced technology
• No patient experience requirements specified for this unit

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent EP and/or Cath Lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted, not expiring within 30 days of start)
• Active license required if applicable
• Must have 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the relevant role
• Ability to respond to cath lab on-call needs within 30 minutes
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
