Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a compact or NC RN license and ACLS/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) serving patients of all ages
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio is typically 1:2-3
• Float requirements with a ratio of 1:6
• Weekend and on-call hours may be required as needed
• Uses Cerner EHR system
• ICU RN will care for patients with a range of critical conditions including respiratory failure
• Scrub color is the traveler's choice; no casual wear allowed
• Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs
• COVID vaccine required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1-2 years recent ICU experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIHSS (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Experience with high acuity and respiratory failure preferred
• Education and licensure meeting NC RN standards
• Must provide Social Security number and date of birth for consideration
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the previous 12 months
• Permanent address must be more than 60 miles from facility
• Cannot hold full-time employment elsewhere
