Pros
I work nights as a PCT Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and I find it very rewarding to be able to help the patient achieve full recovery. by providing them with five star care. The nursing team is outstanding providing a high level of care, compassionate and concern that match mine so it’s a joy to work with people with a heart to care for people.
Cons
We are shortstaffed and sometimes I am the only PCT for my unit. It can become very stressful, especially on what we call “hot”nights where we get back to back new admits. I’m the only PCT for five nurses on nights like that and it can be become very challenging.
