Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position on a cardiac unit with night shifts and strong cardiac procedure experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Telemetry Unit (4N Cardiac) within a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 1900-0730, three nights per week
• Every other weekend rotation is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to all acute care units
• Patient population includes post-cardiac procedure and telemetry monitoring
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac patients and managing drips and post-procedure care
• Orientation consists of the first two days at KUKC Campus, with day three at Olathe
• Facility maintains a nicotine-free environment
• Holiday coverage is required based on unit needs

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with TR Band management, cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem), and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process is required
• Preferred 2-5 years of telemetry experience
