Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Vascular Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and current ARDMS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based vascular ultrasound unit caring for both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Perform 10-15 vascular scans per 12-hour shift, with 2-3 sonographers scheduled per shift
• Shift consists of 10-hour days with variable scheduling; rotations include Thursday-Saturday 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM with call on Saturday nights
• On-call scheduled one day per week with a limited exam scope
• Weekend rotation is variable and will be discussed during the interview
• Expected to float to the outpatient clinic as needed
• Uses Epic EMR, GE Centricity RIS, Philips Vue PACS, and Alaris IV pumps
• Orientation includes a general hospital overview and one week on unit
• Team consists of 2-3 techs per shift
• Scrub color is flexible and free parking is provided
• Holiday coverage is required if a shift falls on a holiday
• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a vascular ultrasound technologist
• Current ARDMS (OB and ABD) and BLS certifications required
• General scanning skills are required
• Experience with Epic charting and hospital imaging equipment preferred
• License required if applicable
