Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Surgical/Transplant position requiring at least one year of nursing experience and a valid OK or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in the Surgical/Transplant unit of a hospital setting
Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
Variety of patient cases ranging from simple to complex medical and surgical needs
Provide comprehensive nursing care including administering medication, monitoring patient responses, and assisting with minor diagnostic procedures
Interact with patients and families in care planning and discharge education
Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
50-mile radius rule enforced; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible

Requirements

Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state (eNLC) required
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Everyone is pretty friendly, good location , Oklahoma City is a fun place to stay, you get to make your own schedule

Cons

No techs at night, tough 3:1/4:1 ratios, hem/onc but open to all types of patients (also an earring disorder unit now), older facility and rooms are TINY
