Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 5+ years of recent L&D experience and a KY or compact license.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
Patient population includes expectant mothers and newborns
Shift is 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Bi-weekly orientation provided
Schedule rotates 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
Uses Meditech EMR system; experience required
Staffing ratios may fluctuate with unit census and staffing needs
Main responsibilities include the care and monitoring of laboring women and newborns
Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
No local candidates accepted per radius rule
Orientation is provided every other week

Requirements

Active KY or compact state RN license required
Minimum of 5 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Certifications required: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), NRP (AHA only), NIH certification, Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
Experience with Meditech EMR required
Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration
