Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NY license, oncology experience, and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Units specialize in post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, cardiac pharmacological interventions, and hematology/oncology care
• Patient population includes post-procedure cardiac patients and oncology patients receiving chemotherapy or with chemo side effects
• Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:5 to 1:7
• 36-bed hematology/oncology unit with developing bone marrow transplant program
• Night shift schedule: 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Opportunities to cross-train in the MICU as the bone marrow transplant program develops
• Position is part of a fast-paced and high acuity unit with a cohesive and supportive staff
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Navy and white scrubs are required
• Staff may be asked to float within units to meet patient care needs

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• At least 1 year of RN experience
• Chemo certification required
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• Oncology nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility
