Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with expertise in neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant cases and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is 1:1 with neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant cases
• Uses Epic for charting and documentation
• Schedule is 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• On call is required one night per week and for holidays, with rotating Friday shifts
• Floating to sister facilities within the system may be required
• Must complete required EKG/Dysrhythmia competency if offered the position
• No block scheduling requests are accommodated
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted and not during holidays or blackout dates
• Returning staff must have at least one year since last employed by the system to be eligible
• Team consists of 16 staffed OR beds with an average daily census of 60
• Scrub requirements and dress code will be specified by the unit
• Floating to all facilities within the 75-mile system radius may occur as needed

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience including neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
• Must pass EKG/Dysrhythmia competency testing during compliance process
• Experience using Epic EMR preferred
• Perm address must be more than 75 miles from the facility
• Driver's license and a recent utility bill in the applicant's name required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No pending state licenses accepted
