Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for night shifts with Epic charting experience and the ability to float as needed.

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care hospital setting on a telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Care for adults and geriatrics with total joint replacements, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetes, medical COVID, and oral surgery cases
• Average daily census is 16 with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Required to float between units at two locations as needed
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Every third weekend work requirement
• Some orientation will take place outside typical contract shifts
• Light gray or silver scrubs required
• Free parking is available in the parking lot
• No more than 7 days of requested time off are allowed per 13-week contract, and no time off is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Travelers may stay in this assignment for up to 18 months before a 3-month break is required

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience is required
• No local candidates within a 75-mile radius are eligible
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
