Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry night shift position, requiring a MO or compact RN license and strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a telemetry unit within an acute care hospital
• Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30) are required
• Navy blue uniform is required
• Patient ratios are 1:5-6
• Duties include cardiac rhythm monitoring and administering cardiac medications and drips without titration
• Charting is completed using Epic EMR
• Floating within scope is required to meet facility needs
• Six weekend shifts per six-week period are required
• No on-call responsibilities
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during first week of orientation
• Must adhere to dress code with no artificial or nail enhancements and no Crocs with holes
• Must be willing to work assigned holidays
• Travelers can stay up to 18 months and must take a three-month break afterward

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license, pending license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry RN experience required
• Certifications required: BCLS and NIHSS; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler
