Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown position requiring 18 months of recent cardiac stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in a stepdown unit at a major hospital
• Cares for cardiac stepdown patients
• Work schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day/night shifts (may vary based on operational needs)
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation
• Team members may be scheduled for rotating shifts depending on hospital needs
• Assignment cannot exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location
• A 6-month wait is required before starting another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location after the end of a contract
• Testing includes a rhythm recognition and medication safety test during orientation

Requirements

• Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in cardiac stepdown or similar specialty required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
• PCU or progressive care experience preferred but not required
