Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for night shifts, requiring ARRT (R) and (CT) credentials, IEMA license, BLS, and Level 1 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital CT scan unit with adult and pediatric patient populations
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Perform routine and specialized CT and diagnostic radiology examinations, including invasive procedures under the direction of a radiologist
• Must use and document accurately within the EPIC EMR system
• No floating or travel partner positions available
• 50-mile radius rule in effect; local candidates not accepted
• Responsibilities include adapting CT and diagnostic procedures to patient needs, assisting radiologists, and maintaining quality standards
• Duties also involve setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of CT and radiology equipment
• Must maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas and report equipment problems through proper channels
• Participation in departmental training, mentoring, and support of fellow technologists and students is expected
• RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Not eligible for assignment if employed by the facility within the last 6 months or exceeding 1 year of continuous assignment
• Scrub attire required per hospital policy

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CT Technologist
• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required
• Current Radiography (R) ARRT, Illinois IEMA Radiography License, BLS, and Computed Tomography (CT) ARRT credentials required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Proficiency in basic computer and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated multicultural sensitivity and customer-focused communication
• EPIC charting experience required
• License required if applicable
