Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 trauma center Emergency Department position requiring two years of recent ED experience and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in an adult Emergency Department at a Level 1 trauma center
- Designated Stroke Center and Primary PCI center for acute myocardial infarction patients
- Provides care in triage, trauma, rapid assessment, and emergency acute care areas
- Fast-paced setting with a highly varied patient population
- Shifts are 12 hours, 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Uses Epic EMR system with required experience
- Role involves critical thinking, public health initiatives, and patient education in emergency and trauma settings
- Staff will rotate through various emergency care areas based on department needs
- Team-oriented environment with focus on high acuity, rapid patient turnover, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Local candidates are considered unless otherwise specified, with no restrictive radius requirements except at certain facilities
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license
- Two years of recent ED nursing experience in a Level 1 trauma center or academic hospital with 500+ beds
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- At least one year of travel nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- ATCN or TNCC certification preferred
