Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Short Term Rehab inpatient position in Minnesota requiring an active MN RN license and recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in a Short Term Rehab Center within an inpatient hospital setting
- Patient population includes individuals requiring short-term rehabilitation services
- 12-hour shifts, either 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
- Work 3 shifts per week, totaling 36 hours
- Required to work every third weekend
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering direct patient care, patient and family education, and supporting transitions of care
- Expected to demonstrate leadership through preceptorship and participation in quality improvement initiatives
- Delegates care based on patient acuity, team experience, and available resources
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills required
- Candidates may only work for up to one year consecutively before a 30–60 day break is required
- Return to work protocols and required breaks apply for prior employees
- Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen completion
Requirements
- Active MN RN license required prior to start
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE); non-accredited program graduates require at least one year recent RN experience in a relevant setting
- At least two years of recent rehab RN experience and/or three completed travel assignments required for Rochester, MN facilities
- Prior experience with Epic charting preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster required
