Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring a CT or compact license and specialized neuro ICU experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Neuro ICU within a short-term acute care hospital
  • Level I Trauma Center with a large bed capacity
  • Typical patient ratio is 1:2 for both day and night shifts
  • Night shifts (4x12 hours), 19:00 to 7:00
  • Every other weekend is required
  • Clinicians may float within their scope as needed by the facility
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Flu vaccine is required with no declinations accepted
  • COVID vaccination and booster required; only religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Facility will auto-approve up to 7 days of requested time off; greater than 7 days must be approved
  • Returning permanent staff must be gone for at least 2 years to be eligible
  • No local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted
  • Parking is available for a monthly fee
  • Scrub requirements are not specified

Requirements

  • Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required
  • Large trauma center experience required
  • Must have at least one reference for consideration
