Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring strong telemetry skills and a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Stepdown unit (CPU)
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
• Patient care involves intermediate/advanced FM skills, telemetry monitoring, and IV starts
• EMR system is Cerner
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Assignment is 13 weeks with possible extension
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Minimal to no requested time off accepted during contract
• Travelers living under 30 miles from the facility are not eligible; local rate applies for candidates residing 31-50 miles away
• Royal blue scrub color must be worn in the unit

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 3 years of recent Stepdown experience required
• Experience with telemetry and IV starts required
• EMR Cerner experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Driver’s license and updated Nurseys required for residence verification
