Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring level 1 trauma ICU and cardiac experience along with an active OK or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in a hospital Trauma ICU unit
  • Patient population includes trauma, cardiac, and neuro cases requiring critical care interventions
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Direct work experience in a level 1 trauma ICU is required
  • 50 mile radius rule applies; local candidates are not eligible
  • Responsibilities include caring for critically ill trauma patients, administering medications, monitoring physiological data, and assisting with diagnostic procedures
  • Position requires strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and support staff
  • Team-based environment with delegated tasks to support staff
  • Holiday coverage may be required according to unit needs
  • Candidates should exhibit a high level of organization and ability to coordinate complex patient care

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Oklahoma or a current compact RN license (eNLC) is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association are required
  • Minimum one year of recent level 1 trauma ICU nursing experience is required
  • At least one year of prior travel nursing experience is required
  • Cardiac critical care experience is required; a combination of cardiac and neuro experience is also acceptable
  • Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • TNCC and TCRN certifications are preferred
