Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least one year of pediatric critical care experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Care for pediatric patients with a variety of medical complexities
• Pediatric patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Responsible for patient care including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating treatment
• Interact with patient families to communicate care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Documentation of patient responses and changes in condition required
• Holiday coverage and weekend shifts may be expected
• Dress code or scrubs per hospital policy
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the hospital

Requirements

• Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state
• Minimum of one year of experience in an ICU setting
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Basic computer skills required
