Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Oncology RN for an outpatient urology clinic role requiring chemotherapy administration certification and two years of oncology experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient oncology clinic within a urology setting
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- No floating between units required for this assignment
- Chemo is administered within the clinic setting
- Uses Epic EMR system, with prior experience required
- Locals and travelers are both accepted for this position
- Responsibilities include performing gemcitabine chemotherapy procedures, catheter changes, UDS, PTNS, CIC teaching, voiding trials, injections, triaging patient calls, and handling refills
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Returning former permanent staff must have a break of at least 3 months and not live within 50 miles of the facility
- Assignment term is 26 weeks and must be completed in full
- Limited RTO requests are allowed and must be discussed during submission
- All staff may be required to float between facilities within the state if needed
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy administration certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology RN experience required
- Experience with catheter changes, UDS, PTNS, CIC teaching, voiding trials, and injections required
- Must be able to perform Gemcitabine (Gemzar) chemotherapy procedures
- Epic EMR experience required
