Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and specialized certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital
• Patient population includes mothers in labor and newborns
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Provides nursing care for a variety of labor and delivery cases, from straightforward to complex
• Performs patient assessments, monitors physiological data, and administers medications and IV infusions
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Communicates care plans with patients and families and coordinates discharge planning
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff and documents all relevant patient information
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Requirements

• Active OK or compact state RN license required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required
• Minimum of one year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advance Provider or Instructor certification required
