Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medicine Specialty Unit night shift position requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of hospital experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medicine Specialty Unit of a hospital
- Care for a diverse patient population with a wide range of health conditions from simple to complex
- Night shift, 12 hours per shift, three shifts per week
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including medication administration and monitoring patient physiological data
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Document patient responses to interventions and prescribed treatments
- Coordinate care and discharge planning with patients and their families
- May delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- A six month separation is required before reapplying following completion of a 26-week contract extension
Requirements
- Active RN license in Oklahoma or an active compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
