Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medicine Specialty Unit night shift position requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medicine Specialty Unit of a hospital
• Care for a diverse patient population with a wide range of health conditions from simple to complex
• Night shift, 12 hours per shift, three shifts per week
• Provide comprehensive nursing care, including medication administration and monitoring patient physiological data
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
• Document patient responses to interventions and prescribed treatments
• Coordinate care and discharge planning with patients and their families
• May delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• A six month separation is required before reapplying following completion of a 26-week contract extension

Requirements

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or an active compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
