Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU Stepdown position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of pediatric ICU experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a pediatric ICU stepdown unit within a hospital setting
  • Patient population consists of children with both simple and complex health conditions
  • 12-hour day shifts, three shifts per week
  • No floating or on-call requirements stated
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric patients
  • Document patient responses and note changes in orders or condition
  • Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
  • Administer medications and monitor physiological data
  • Interact with families to share care plans and discharge information
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff
  • 50-mile radius rule applies; no local candidates accepted
  • Adherence to designated hospital processes and orientation expectations

Requirements

  • Active OK or compact RN license required
  • At least one year of pediatric ICU nursing experience
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Ability to apply professional nursing theory and techniques
  • Some computer skills required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
